Test Spaceific on your own Mac.

A closed beta for Mac developers whose disks fill up with tools and local AI models. About 10 testers go first, chosen by hand from the applications.

Who it is for

A Mac with Apple silicon
Intel Macs are welcome to apply too. The beta is built for them but has not been tested on one.
Developer tools or local AI models
You use some of Ollama, LM Studio, Docker, npm or Xcode.
Short of space
Your disk fills up and you want to know what is safe to move.
A Mac you can back up
You will not test on a Mac whose important files you cannot back up.

If you are on macOS 14 or 15, you are especially useful: the beta has only run on macOS 26 so far.

A free Founder licence
When Spaceific goes on sale, testers get the Pro licence free.

The beta has no licence check. Everything is on.

Version: 0.9.0 beta 1, built 2 Nov 2026. For Apple silicon and Intel.
Not notarised: Apple has not notarised this build yet, so macOS stops it the first time you open it. You allow it once, with Open Anyway in System Settings. The guide shows how.
60 days: This build ends on 1 Jan 2027. After that it refuses every move to the Trash. Scanning, Rescue Center and Put Back keep working. A newer build gets a new date.
Tested on: macOS 26 only. macOS 14 and 15 are the target too, but the beta has not run on them yet. Intel has not been tested.
No safety limits in code: The app lets you move an item marked Protected or No rule yet, with its own extra tick. This beta does not stop you, so the guide asks you to move only items marked Rebuildable.
Not sent yet: The build is ready. Invites go out once the download page is set up.
